MIVVA Beauty Box February 2013 Valentine's Day Edition

L O V E is in the air!!!


I get to know about beauty box from Michelle Phan which is the famous youtube guru that teach about make up. She introduce it and just need to pay USD 30 every month to get subscribe. Of course it is cheap for them but when convert to RM, it's totally not so worth.


I cam across beauty box in Malaysia not long ago. The most advertised one is Fabulous Finds but unfortunately, they have stop their service. Then, I found another beauty box which is the MIVVA. I think they are quite clever in advertising by posting the box to blogger and let them to do a review. I saw the December Christmas theme beauty box from Street Love and Average Jane. Christmas theme beauty box was so rich. Most probably is their first beauty box and it's Christmas so they want to impress the reader!





Finally I subscribed myself a beauty box during January when they launched their February Valentine's themed beauty box. I am sure I will have a single Valentine so might as well I buy myself a little gift!





I received my beauty box early February which really makes my day! So big and so compact. I just can't wait to open it! So I unwrapped everything and this is how it looks like! Such a great idea to do a bubble wrap to make sure that the box is perfectly well when it reach to our hands! The colour contrast really attract attention, black in pink box!









I also received a personalize card. It is in hot red and I like it so much! Also inspired me that I also can make such card to my friends next time. So the message sent to myself is: A gift to myself! Be happy always!







Another message card from Mivva also included in the box and their card is just like love letter to us!





They also included a product description sheet and state the full size and retail price. I receive totally everything from the sheet.





I freaking love this month beauty box because I received 2 FULL SIZE products!

I was so surprise when I saw such a huge bottle inside the box! MIVVA gave us full size! I always seen this brand in Sasa and retail pharmacy story but I never have the chance to try it. I just can't wait anymore so I tried on the product. After applying on the face, I instantly feel refreshing and make my skin feel so clean. I am not that kind of person who will use skin care routinely.  I think I am addicted to that feel so I start using everyday, morning and night. So far, it makes my face feel soft, hydrated and clean.





Paul Penders Natural Cream Lipstick
RM 79 for 3.5g

This is the second full size item in the box! I like lipstick very much but not those colour which attract attention. I am more to lip colour lipstick or nude one. Luckily the one in my box is nude shade and it's made from natural ingredients so you no need to worry about you might swallow the chemical in the lipstick. I am very happy with it because it don't have scent after I apply on my lips. I don't really like those lipstick with scent or taste on it.





Nature's Lab Refreshing Body Whip
RM 69 for 250ml or RM 103 for 450ml

Body whip is just like body lotion and this Nature's Lab Refreshing Body Whip smell so good! I also used it and it just work like other lotion. The plus point is it smell fruity and not annoying. Some lotion really smell annoying even though they have fruity smell.




Skin79 White Reviving Skin Radiance Mini Set

Solution RM 90 for 30ml, Softener RM 67 for 150ml, Emulsion RM 72 for 150ml

I haven't try this product but this is a whole mini set. 2 little bottles and a sachet. Softener is scrub and toner, Solution is the serum and lastly emulsion. The size is totally good for travel. Will try it later to see how good is this product.

Murad Vitalic Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask

RM 16.50 for 7.5ml

This packet is so attractive as the product is pack fully in the sachet. I wanted to try this mask but yet to try it. Hopefully it will works as it claim: provide instant, intensive smoothing and hydrating benefits.








As this is the Valentine's edition beauty box, they also included a flower hair clip and marshmallow. I got a polka dot flower hair clip and flower shaped marshmallow. Yet I saw some of the subscriber got plain hair clip and heart shaped marshmallow.... so...... I want the plain hair clip!! So pretty! I saw the purple and pink colour flower hair clip and it look so beautiful. And the heart shaped marshmallow!!

I guess other people's thing are always the best right? But I am truly satisfied and happy with what I get. The heart shaped marshmallow? I definitely can get it myself and I am not a fans of marshmallow and doubt that I'll eat it. Flower hair clip? I don't think I'll even use it on my head. Maybe will use it as decoration only.

By the way, MIVVA had just establish their MIVVA Points Rewards Program. There were 2 MIVVA angpaos in the box and contain 200 MIVVA point. It is so easy to get point. Just take a photo with BFF holding the MIVVA angpaos and post the photo in facebood and tag @MIVVA.com, email them and receive the 200 points in the account!!











Verdict

I always thought that it is not worth of getting beauty box as they might only give sample size product. But MIVVA prove me totally wrong as they gave 2 full size products in this February Valentine's Day beauty box which is the Beautymate Purifying and Brightening Nano Toner and Paul Penders Natural Cream Lipstick. If you add up both items, it worth RM 128.90!!! Where I only pay RM 38 to subscribe this beauty box INCLUDING poslaju postage! I am not sure about beauty box from MIVVA in the future but the December and February themed boxes really impressed me. I might consider to subscribe other month's beauty box. I have not subscribe other beauty box hence I can't compare it with the others. 

It is very easy to pleased the customer. Beautiful packaging, good service, in between some little free gift or accessories, everyone will definitely love it!

DIY soap class

I came across about this shop for quite some time already. It was located in Melaka Jonker street. My friend and I always pass by there and go into the shop but I've never bought and try their soap. 

Since there is a sale in Groupon, I bought 4 voucher for my friends and I.

We went there and meet the lady boss. She recommended us doing this 'Afternoon tea-shaped soap' instead of cupcakes and ice cream because the last 2 were too easy. The lady boss is very friendly and very patience. She takes her time to explain to us about the soap and instruction on how to do it. She also tell us how hard she find the suitable ingredients for the diy soap and the colouring is the hardest part. Not all colouring suitable for soap because some might stain on the hand after you wash your hand with the soap.

What I like is the lady boss didn't keep promote her product instead she just focus on teaching us doing the soap. Some shop keep promoting their product and and us to buy and I really hate that. On further asking, we get to know that she also do classes for tourist and also soap for face wash and cloth wash.

So lets start our DIY soap!!

First, heat the wax.

Prepare all the things you needed while waiting the soap to melt. All of the tools and ingredients are supplied by the shop!

Choose the colour you want for your decoration which I choose the green rounded soap above. cut it into 6 pieces and put into the container and leave some spaces between them.

Choose the colour you want. It is better to choose a colour which is totally contrast to the round soap you picked just now. And I choose RED!

Pour the colour in between the 6 pieces rounded soap that I've just cut.

This is so ugly!! But never mind! You'll shaped it later!

Well, look better now!

Cut it into half and shape it again!

At another side, prepare a cup and fills it full with cubes transparent soap, make it look like cubes of ices! Oh, and don't forget to put a straw! 

Choose 2 colours for your 'drinks' you want! I choose BLUE and YELLOW. You need to choose a contrast of colour again from the previous one so that the colour will pop out!

Mix mix mix mix mix and mix! We actually put some of the aromatic fragrances into the mixture so that our soap smell nice!

The boss will keep asking you to put in more cubes so that it look overflow. She is not stingy with her ingredients at all! Keep asking us to add more!

Put the first 2 pieces that you prepare earlier on top of it and the end result is THIS!

Hmmm... taste so good!

The free bear was put into the mold and we get to choose our own colour as well!

All of us are so happy with this DIY soap session! It was really fun!

After that, I followed their facebook page and get to know they had a contest going on. So I just take part in it didn't hope to get anything but just for fun. At first they say they will give out 5 pieces of soaps to 5 people. At last the gave all of the contestant a bar of soap cause they have hard time to choose the winner. Guess that I am way too lucky!

They state the name, ingredient, date of manufacture and window period of the soap. It can be us as body wash shop and facial soap!

one word to describe the feeling i'm having now- sad.

alone

i think i have loss a lot of friends... even though i don't have many friends. but seem like it getting lesser.
feel left out. feel like i never been in their life.
the friends that i have now can count finish within fingers in both hands.
even don't know who to turn to when i have problems or things to express. as in nobody understand.
life is like so hard. everyone's struggling. when only i can find a friend that always have me inside their heart?
i am so stress with my exam in 1 week time yet who to turn to? no one understand. everyone have their own life.
maybe i am too dependent after having people surround around me.
no true friend in college life. old friends is like being stronger within their own group and i am the left out/ leftover. no point of me being there. is like no different if i am there or not.
always plan things without me. if i am in or not never mind. but if one of them is not in then the plan will not work.
sigh... life?

we come alone in this world, go alone from this world. seem like that also including being alone in this world...

have such a surprise from Dr Siti when she look up to me and say: Melissa, you have mature a lot since year 1!
i was like: what??
she says she sees me mature a lot since last time.
i am really pleased Dr Siti says that to me. Really made my day. Never will have people really see through me and today, she did it.

so... i will work really hard for the exam in next 2 weeks!!!

motivation just kicks in!
