sweet escape part 1

All of my pharmacy friends are going to graduate soon. They've plan for a road trip before we all separate.

They invited me but I wasn't going to join them at first, but then after persuaded by Mei for many times, I just can't resist her anymore.

I must say this is a really a great trip! All of us enjoy ourselves very much.

We plan to go from from Cyberaya -->Teluk Intan --> Sitiwan --> Cameron Highland --> back to cyberjaya again. Somehow we changed our plan in between...

The day before travelling, out of sudden Mei and Zyang wanted to eat ais as they just finished their final exam. Zyang suggested we go to Snowflakes at Kuchai Lama.

At first we plan to start our journey at 8am. But then Fern suggested we have our breakfast in Teluk Intan. So Zyang and Fern say we start our journey at 6am. Mei and I heard wrongly, we thought it's 7am.
The next day Zyang knock our door at 5.30am and I was like: why so early?
Then later only Mei and I realize all of us have some communication problem.


We reached Teluk Intan around 8am. Trying so hard to find the restaurant for Seafood Bak Kut Teh but failed. So we stop nearby and ask for direction.





Well, I have no idea in Malaysia we also have our own leaning tower! haha...

The uncle recommended another shop which is just nearby. We thought it will be the same Seafood Bak Kut Teh but then when we reach there, they say they have seafood AND bak kut teh. It's the totally different thing.





But still, the BKT is acceptable. The taste is not bad. But we are quite disappointed because we didn't get to eat Seafood BKT.





After buying some biscuit and cookies which is famous in Perak, we continue our journey to Sitiawan.
Sitiawan is Fern and Zyang hometown. My dad's hometown too!
On the way to Sitiawan, we have to cross over a bridge. After the bridge, there will be paddy field. Everything my family and I go back to my dad's hometown, I wanted to take photo of the paddy field so much. But I never ask my dad to stop at roadside for me to take photo.
When we pass by there, Mei and Fern say it is so beautiful. I asked Zyang to stop at roadside!
Finally! My dream come true.






Zyang wants to bring us to somewhere special in Sitiawan, or they call the LANDMARK there.

Your eyesights are totally FINE!!! hahaha... I have no idea there are people who love money so much until they put $$$$$ on their gate!!!
And guess what is their house number! it's 96! 916 gold meh?!


After seeing this special landmark, Zyang bring us to have the famous cendol in Sitiawan.
Normal cendol and pulut cendol. I have no idea why Sitiawanese say cendol as cendui. haha...







After cendol, we went to search for Kong Piang. I miss it so much!! But too bad, we have to wait for 20 minutes for another round.
See the little boy who doing the Kong Piang. He works so hard!





We just don't have luck today. So we go back to Zyang home. His mom is waiting for us with this red wind mee sua--my love!!!





After Mee sua, we rest in Zyang house for sometime and have chat with his mom together with chinese tea. Zyang family love chinese tea so much. Any question about chinese tea, just ask him!


It started to rain when we were resting in Zyang house, we decide to go up to Cameron Highland earlier. We tried our luck in the Kong Piang shop again but we still don't have luck of getting to taste Kong Piang.


We reached Cameron Highland at around 4pm. Zyang shows us the Smokehouse there.
It's very nice but the price for dining there is quite expensive.









We didn't stay in hotel or motel or apartment. We stay in Zyang's friend's house which we rate it as 7 stars hotel! haha... his friend's house is so comfy and we actually stunted when we saw the house.
His friend and family weren't at home. So the whole house actually 'belong' to us (for that day only)!!


We have some rest and get ourselves cleaned then we ahead for our dinner.
In Cameron Highland, how can you missed their steamboat.
Cold weather + steamboat = PERFECT!





After dinner, we walk around in the night market.
The yam ball is so delicious!!!





Zyang friend's house is so comfy!!! We actually treat it like our own house. Luckily the master is not in the house, if not it will be so embarrassing for us to behave like that!







That's all for 1st day! We need to charge our energy for the next day!!!
